EASTER SUNDAY

It was such a beautiful day today that we decided to take some photos after church outside of the Apartments where the first of the Tulips had blossomed, so here they are.

THE LIVING PLANET AQUARIUM

Last Monday we went to the Aquarium in Sandy for Family Home Evening. It was pretty cheap but i didn't think it was as good as the Manly Aquarium or the one on the Sunshine Coast. There was lots of cool fish though. Pirahnas and an Anaconda from South America including some huge hairy tarantulas (Don't ask me what they are doing in an Aquarium?!). They also had some stingrays in a pool that you could reach over and touch on its wings. I couldn't help but think of Steve Irwin and think "this thing killed him and here they are for all to touch without any supervision or precautions prohibiting kids jumping in there". i don't know they were pretty placid just laying there. The kids had lots of fun and we enjoyed it also.
Tyla Jade saw this clown fish and screamed out "Nemo!!" Never too far from an Aussie's heart!

JAZZ GAME VS ROCKETS

I decided to take the two older kids to a Jazz game and was lucky to find some cheap tickets being resold online for $6. Yeah they were in the nosebleeds section but the rowdier people there made it all the better i say. And the kids had a great time hollering and yelling at the refs and shouting "De-Fense"!!! We went with our friends Mike Clark and his five kids. Karenza got so excited when the organist starting playing the theme to the Addams Family and she started clapping along screaming "Dad! It's the Addams Family. I know this one!!" Hayden was excited when they were giving away free mini Jazz basketballs to the crowd and he got one. The Jazz won a close game and so everyone was happy.

BOWLING FOR FHE

Went Bowling last Monday for FHE.

GOOD DAY FOR KITE FLYING

Today was a good windy day and kites are so cheap here - $1 at Walmart, that we decided that we would get a few and go out into 'The Bowl' and fly them high.

Tyla loved being independent and being able to do something for her self!!
